BURLEY – The Burley Green Sox earned a spot in the American Legion A tournament to be held this week in Twin Falls.

BURLEY – Jaylee Stimpson of Paul traveled to Winnemucca, Nevada for the Silver State International Rodeo and came home with the top prize in the barrel racing event.

BURLEY – The Burley Green Sox American Legion team is having success this season, and considering how young the team is, hopes for the future are bright.

The following have been named to the Great Basin All-Conference team for baseball and softball for the 2014 season.

MINI-CASSIA – The regular season of District 6 High School Rodeo came to an end last weekend.  This was the last opportunity to qualify for the Idaho State High School Rodeo to be held in Pocatello on June 8-14.  The six top qualifiers in each event will earn the opportunity to compete.

MINI-CASSIA – The Idaho State Golf Championships came to the Magic Valley this week with the 4A tournament being held in Twin Falls and the 2A championships being held at the Rupert Country Club in Rupert.  

DECLO – The Declo Hornets traveled to Boise to compete at the 2A Idaho State Boys Basketball Championship and was the only Mini-Cassia team to bring home hardware this year.

BURLEY – The Burley Bobcats closed out their 2013-2014 season with an unsuccessful State bid in Boise this past weekend.  While the dream of playing at the Ford Idaho Center and earning a state championship had been a dream of the seniors for as long as they could remember, it wasn’t meant to be.

BURLEY – The Burley Bobcats head to the 4A Idaho State Boys Basketball Championship after earning the number two seed for District IV.

RAFT RIVER – Raft River Trojan Wyatt Smith brought home the lone state wrestling championship last weekend for the Mini-Cassia area.

BURLEY BOBCATS – The Burley Bobcats locked up a spot in the 4A Idaho State Championship Tuesday night with a win over the Jerome Tigers.

BURLEY – The Burley girls’ basketball team traveled to Boise to compete in the 4A Idaho State Basketball Championship which was held at Mountain View High School.

BURLEY BOBCATS – The Burley Bobcats are primed to make a repeat trip to the 4A Idaho State Boys Basketball tournament to be held at Borah High School in Boise March 6-8.

BURLEY – The Burley Lady Bobcats took second place in the District IV 4A basketball tournament last week to earn one of eight spots to compete at Mountain View High School this weekend in the 4A Idaho State Girls Basketball Championship in Meridian.

BURLEY BOBCATS and MINICO SPARTANS – The Burley Bobcats traveled to Minico High School last week for their second meeting of the season.  The first meeting ended with a final score of Burley 51, Minico 47 on January 22nd.

BURLEY BOBCATS – The Burley Lady Bobcats fought their way through the District IV 4A championships to nab a trip to the 4A Idaho State Basketball Championships at Mountain View High School in Meridian next weekend.
