Dakota L. Wolf

Dakota L. Wolf, 21, passed away on August 3, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident while travelling home from Arizona.  He was born May 30, 2000, in Boise, Idaho the only child to Brenda Wolf.

Shortly after Dakota was born, he and his mother moved to Burley to be closer to family. He was your typical energetic boy growing up who enjoyed puzzles and playing cards from a very young age He was a very creative young man who enjoyed skateboarding, reading, writing short stories, drawing, playing video games, swimming, riding his bike and spending time at the library.

Dakota accepted the Lord as a young boy and was baptized in 2006 at FirstBaptistChurch where he attended for several years. He attended school in Burley and graduated from CassiaHigh School in 2019.

Dakota’s first job was at Burgers Etc. in Burley, which he enjoyed very much.  Most recently he was working at Maverick in Rupert, he was able to meet some kind people and show off his developing customer service skills.

Dakota is survived by his mother, Brenda Wolf of Burley, father, Ron Swanson of Challis, grandfather, Joe Wolf of Declo, his uncle Brent (Shelly) Wolf of Burley, a half brother Forest (Dulce) Swanson of Boise, a nephew Harlem,  cousins Ryan (Sandy) Watson, Austin (Shilo) Sorenson, Tanner Wolf, and Addyson Wolf. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Wolf,  great-grandmothers Dorothy Lish and Helen Wolf who he cherished as a young boy.

Brenda would like to say a very special thank you to the Idaho State Police Department, Southern Nevada Mortuary, Sheriff’s Office in Lincoln County, NV, the Pro Towing Company, Rasmussen’s Funeral Home, her FaithBaptistChurch family, Home Heating and Air Conditioning, Simon’s Cleaners, and especially her dad, Joe Wolf for the kindness and support during this very devastating time.  And ALL the kind people that have reached out. Your prayers and kind words have been felt and are appreciated.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, 335 W 13th Street, Burley, Idaho at 11:00 a.m.
