TWIN FALLS – Magic Mud Art Sale, the College of Southern Idaho Art Department’s annual fundraiser, has been canceled this year due to COVID-19.

The event normally brings the works of student and professional potters together for a holiday show that includes ceramics, photography, and other artworks. Ceramic artists show and sell decorative and functional items including platters, bowls, vases, casserole dishes, cups, teapots, and unique objects.

Mayumi Kiefer, CSI Art Instructor, noted how difficult of a decision it was to cancel this event. People look forward to it all year to purchase Christmas and other holiday gifts. She also reinforced the need to protect the health of CSI students, staff, and also the community.

Some items that would have been included in this year’s Magic Mud Art Sale will be on display and sold at the Magic Valley Arts Council Gallery on Thursday, November 19. The CSI Art program has agreed to plan for a future art sale and will share more details as they become available.
