Cassia Schools Hire Assistant Principal at White Pine Elementary
Cassia School Trustees hired Jacoby Sneddon to fill the vacant vice principal position at White Pine Elementary at their regularly scheduled board meeting on Thursday, May 16.
Mrs. Sneddon has taught Special Education, served as Senior Advisor, Special Ed. Department Team Leader, Rodeo Team Advisor and is currently serving as a College and Career Counselor and GEAR UP Coordinator/Grant Manager for Minidoka County Schools.
Mrs. Sneddon received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University and served for a number of years as a Juvenile Probation Officer, specializing in Children’s Mental Health. Upon making the decision to return to education, Mrs. Sneddon received her Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education in 2015, and completed her Executive Education Specialist (Ed.S), with a Superintendent/Administration certification, as well as her Special Education Director certification from Boise State in 2018.
She is passionate about the success of all kids and loves the rewards of being able to connect with and inspire children to believe in themselves. Mrs. Sneddon is looking forward to joining the team at White Pine and hopes to “provoke a passion and love for student success and achievement as she strives to set an example, just as the many great leaders have throughout her career.”
Mrs. Sneddon has been married to her husband Randy for 23 years. She has two daughters Kaylie and Kynlei, a son-in-law Chris, a grandson, and one more on the way.
She loves her dogs, horses and most animals in general. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, yardwork, camping, fishing, rodeo, traveling, snow skiing, observing wildlife (especially moose), and helping others.
Sneddon replaces Diana Gill, who will now serve as principal. Mrs. Gill takes the place of Matt Seely who will serve as principal of John Evans Elementary.
