Cassia School District teachers filled the King Fine Arts Center Last Monday and Tuesday attending two days of training. The subject of the training was the new initiative adopted by school trustees; professional learning communities.

The focus of the training centered on developing teachers to be more collaborative and engaged in individual student learning. Now that the district has formalized this initiative by providing training to all teachers, the next step is for teachers and administrators to embed the training and cultural changes within their own buildings. School board trustees and superintendent Dr. Shank believe this focus will produce results for student growth and achievement.
