RUPERT – With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out.  Minidoka County School District provides free meals to children during the summer.

This summer, Lunch in the Park will be served at Larson McLean Memorial Park in Paul, Central Park in Heyburn, Lincoln Park in Rupert, and Neptune Park in Rupert from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 10th through July 27th with the exception of July 4th and 5th.  We will also serve Lunch in the Park at the Paul Housing Authority on 400 West from July 3rd to July 27th excluding July 4th and 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. East Minico Middle School in Rupert will serve breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. June 10th through July 19th with the exception of July 4th.  Rupert Elementary in Rupert will also serve breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. June 3rd through June 27th with the exception of Fridays.  There are no income requirements or registration.  Any child age 18 and under may come eat free of charge and adults may purchase a meal for $4.00 at any site.  For more information, contact the Minidoka County School Food Service Office at (208) 43603625.
