Eva Holcomb

Eva Holcomb will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 18. Eva was born in Eureka South Dakota on May 18, 1916. She was the first born of 7 children to German immigrants who lived in Vananda Montana. The family moved to Eastern Montana in 1926, then to Western, Montana in 1934. Eva met and married Bill Bower in 1936 when she moved to Rupert to work as a housekeeper. After a brief stay in Declo, they moved north of Rupert where Eva resided until the spring 2015. She currently resides at the Valley Vista Assisted Living facility near Acequia. Bill and Eva had three children. Two are living. She has eleven grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren covering five generations.
